grippy,
Did you call and talk with ATI about the P/S pulley? Considering they have an 8-rib harmonic balancer for the trucks I would have thought the power steering pulley would have been a non-issue... or at least they had a solution in place already. I wonder if the 3/4 ton trucks have a different power steering pump with a larger diameter shaft...

Bill, I fired an email out last night to ATI about the issue, I am "on duty" so I won't get a chance to check my home email until tomorrow evening sometime.
If someone wanted to give ATI a call and report back that would be cool

Whatever happens, it will be a non issue in the long run because it just needs a little machining to get it to work anyway..................from what I can see, it will line-up just fine with the rest of the pulleys, which leaves the blower as the final test fit for this whole 8-rib conversion

Have you heard from ATI on the power steering pulley?Mine was also smaller than the shaft and I'm sending the pump and pulley to the machine shop on monday.I also discovered I need a shorter snout extension from Whipple.

Yes, ATI will re-machine the pulley, I am sending it back Monday.

Maybe you can help me out, they need a measurement of the power steering shaft to .0000, can you verify my measurement? I got .7500, I sure would like a second set of eyes.

Whitt, whats your email addy, I'll forward you my correspondence

Very good bro... ya 10ths of a thousandth will be critical on a interference fit like this. I am praying there will be no offset issues once the bore mod is complete.

Those pullies probably have about .005" of press. Meaning the pulley is machined .005" smaller than the shaft. But my guess .0005" of tollerance on the machining would be plenty concervative.

You know a Machinist Mate would have had this thing running weeks ago.
