Wow,thats alot of thinking about oil. Here is a norm I do.
First startup - 10w/40 reg. Let engine get to full temp then dump it.
0-1000miles 10w/40 reg
1k -2500miles 10w40reg
2500+ 0w40 or 10w40 synthetic.
Oil changes depend on tune too. If you have a problem tuning it and it runs rich alot change the oil to keep the gas out of it.

something like 4 qts of 10w40 2 qts of 20w-50 or
5 qts of 10w40, 1 qt of 20w-50

I agree with the first part, but with the synthetic, I'd just go with 10W30. It's a rebuilt engine with a good oil pump, you should be fine with thinner oil.

Picked up a case of Engine Break-In SAE 30 motor oil today, should help ensure the engine gets what it needs in the early stages of its life:
so the break in period will go like this:
0-100miles Penn Grade Break-In Oil SAE 30
100-500miles Penn Grade Break-In Oil SAE 30
500-2500miles Shell Rotella Heavy Duty 15w-40
>2500 miles Redline Synthetic 10w40
all fluids go in this weekend:

I'm pumped about the prospect of your first start and I know that you have to be! Once you do get the truck running and broken in, how are you going to approach tuning?
