I would dump it after the rear axle if it were me and didnt want side exit after the tire. I personally like the dual tips exiting behind the rear wheel but you bring up a good point on the rubber thing but IMO is the best option since oyu dont like dumps.

Oh Yeah: if you look closely the wheels/tires are stacked up in the garage

more good news: I conducted the acid test this morning and ran WOT at the top of 3rd gear( approx 65mph ) anyway 12.2-12.5-1 was the AFR. Just about perfect, I'll be damned if it's not running better than ever.
So was I running Rich before the exhaust?
Maybe, but the O2 sensors looked to be in great shape when we took them out.........funny **** really, but I'll take a win win any day of the week

I'm curious why Richard didn't choose a single muffler with dual in/out with an
internal x, "Tru-X core" design
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=625
It's much simpler, less fabrication and would be less expensive to duplicate.
Space constrants? or maybe no 3" in tru x ?
I've built several systems similiar to your set up and used one x-body muffler.
Nice stuff, no matter

Yeah dumps and turned down behind the bumer are different. If you use mandrel bends for the big angle change to turn them down then I would do that and it wont really hurt performance look good and use the existing tips

Turndowns before the rear bumper is EXACTLY what I am working on. I've got one side done so far. I wanted it tucked away, no bling, invisible... quiet... STEALTH.
It came out as I had hoped. I did a bologne snub cut similar to factory but deeper.
I don't see many people going to turndowns tucked and dumped under the bumper. I think it looks good and it's very functional. I'm anxious to see how you do yours. (BTW, those are 14x4" round 3"in/out Magnaflow cans in the back working as resonators.)
