Project "Blown HD" my 6/8 drop/shortblock/heads/cam/blower/tranny install
#2281
last update before X-mas:
Wiring harness is back in the truck, we will finish the part that goes over the engine physically on the truck so all the lengths are perfect:
few pics of the exhaust mounted back up, second pic shows repaired muffler:
and lastly the dual catch cans I will be running, one for each bank, no check valves:

yep, me too, just a matter of how long the last few details take.....I left the battery on a trickle charger for a week so it's good to go.
Still need to run some fuel through the lines to make sure any metal shavings are out(even though I was very careful, you never know).
Have to pre-lube the engine with the break-in oil (never done that before using a hand pump, who knows how that will work out)
Have to get a start-up tune loaded
Have to go over everything with a fine tooth comb, all the standard type stuff
Pray for no leaks!
BTW, on a recent "chop cut rebuild" (speed channel) they had Art Carr on there from CPT, the guy he had rebuild their TH400 was the same guy who built my 4L80e! lol, I got a kick out of that
