Project "Blown HD" my 6/8 drop/shortblock/heads/cam/blower/tranny install
#2769
A few details; first off, as of right now, this is a custom setup, so no off the shelf “ready to ship” status here. Brian, Garrett, and the R&D department from Magnuson really stepped up and did a great job on this configuration. Thank you!
Obviously, this is a TVS 2300 jackshaft, rear cog drive, 8-Rib Blower driven, intercooled truck assembly. With the assortment of pulleys I have on hand there will be several boost levels to choose from +/- a few lbs. When the larger blower pulley is installed I will be starting out with approx 10lbs of boost (basically what the truck is tuned for now); the next jump will be 14-15lbs, after that with a cog swap 20lbs of boost, and then “kill”
There are smaller steps to be had, I just don’t have enough pulleys yet to get there; due time. I don’t see going over the 14-15lbs of boost mark unless at the track with some decent gas or for testing purposes before I deploy later this year, however, there is a race (rematch) old BC and myself have to attend too before that time comes as well!
I sticking to the same fuel setup as before, dual 3/8” feed lines split with a Y from the stock fuel line with a KB Boost-a-Pump. Ideally I’d like to get some 2” primary headers on there but that may have to wait until next winter. Last thing I’ll have to attend to is a new intake tube setup, still up in the air, I want to get the 2300 bolted down before I jump into that project.
