The eaton is a good choice. Did you ever get to the track or dyno in its current configuration?

Looking forward to the change.....I'll probably hold on to the detroit in the event I don't like the Eaton.

Not yet.....SOTP is it's quite fast.....just not sure how fast yet......looking to hit those milestones this year, wrap up the fit and finish items, and get some more rear tire under there

Well it's been a number of years since I started this project with alot of life in between. I've been fortunate enough to get alot of the modifications I wanted to accomplish finished up ....but ....I'd be lying if I said I got everything done I wanted or even set out to do. So in that vane I'm going to resurrect this old project and see what I can do to finish her up! Granted my operating budget isn't what it used to be, but then alot of the high dollar stuff has been purchased and installed

Things I need to address

1. Stance (i.e. suspension/has to sit just right )
2. Look (install the color-matched pcs I have on shelves and some minor paint work)
3. Drive-ability (lower stall from 2800 to 2500rpm/switch from Detroit Locker to Eaton Posi)
4. Interior (sound deadner/stereo system/alarm)
5. engine bay details (general electrical routing and layout)
6. traction! (street and track)
7. Exhaust (quiet it down some)
8. Brakes (upgrade with either calipers or calipers/rotors)
9. get that damn wax off the frame

Ok that's it for now, wheeeeeeeee!

Crazy to think I joined about the time your were starting this. Good luck getting it all done this time. You have one of the best trucks because of your attention to detail. Probably why its taken so long.

It makes a big difference when you take the wax off the frame and paint it.
Great work

Have fun with the wax removal. With you insane attention to detail, I can't wait to see that project. Do it first.

Oh man...that wax removal item you posted brings back bad memories!!
If I'm around, I'll come and give you a hand man, that job is not one for tackling on your own, Blown06 is still smelling all the brakleen from when he did his frame and my hands still haven't recovered!
