a little more progress today. I completed one of the jobs I wasn't looking forward too; draining the cooling system. Man the **** is potent! I got one strong whiff and was dry heaving in the garage Anyway, most of the cooling system is removed as are other misc front support/grill pcs. Parts taken off the truck are adding up quick:

further into the dis-assembly process:

Why did you remove the coolant tank? Get that radiator out and watch out for leaking trans fluid from the cooler lines or if they are already removed watch out for it dripping from the side of the trans when you jack the truck up.

Be sure you drain the heater core,NPG won't mix with regular antifreeze or water.

I blew mine out with an air compressor.Kind of messy, but it's easier than removing the heater core.

a few notes to self:
1. your not a young kid anymore (you can get tennis elbow without playing tennis)
2. get some knee pads (knees are sore, sore, and sore)
3. get some mechanics gloves (hands are nicked all to hell)
4. make a chest pad (that sum-bitch is sore too)
5. wear long sleeves (arms are now nicked to hell as well, matching set )

Bolts/misc items bagged and tagged

old man knee protector (soon to be chest protector)

Inner fender wells/headers off

Told ya to take the motor out

Why did you take the inner fenders out? Looks like you got everything organized very well, all my trans bolts are in one box and all my engine bolts are in another

I put a 2 liter soda bottle over one end before blowing mine out with compressed air. No fuss, no muss. The first time I just blew it out and it went everwhere. I wasn't about to clean that mess up a second time.
