Bill, I thought that was with the Melling pump/double roller combo? I'll be using the single roller adjustable......have you heard of clearance issues with that setup as well?

Thanks guys, this is going to add a few days to the build but at least I won't have to open her back up next year, which is well worth the pain now

just noticed today that half of the connecting rod caps are painted black, must be an assembly procedure at the factory:


removing the crank gear:


crank snout protection:


ARP Head & Main thread chaser:


cleaning out all the threads:


for the rest of the threads to be cleaned:

nothing special, every 5-6k, I used whatever "so called" synthetic was on sale, it's seen Mobil 1, Royal Purple, and Rotella.

I'm switching to strictly Redline oil after the break-in/build.

difference being is the TOTAL amount of time required to finish my project will be 1/4 of what it took you to grow a ball sack big enough to do the work.....not to mention the time it took for you to collect parts.
