hehe I've been close for a very long time -- just waiting on parts again
On a bright note, I did have the mig hot today
That engine looks clean enough to go in rig bro -- can't wait to hear all the stories of the 122

here are some pics that slipped through the cracks:
ARP bolts are excellent for cam/cam retainer (Rex really likes them here), Hex Adjust Comp single roller timing chain:
Here is a pic of the second ring which Rex spec'd as a Napier
some of you may remember I kinked the stock semi-hard fuel line and was worried it would pose a problem in the future. Well, I converted my stock hard fuel line to a -6 AN setup and in the process cut open the stock line.
Bottom line, I wouldn't worry about it, the semi-hard line seems to be pliable enough not to show any stress discoloration (think thick nylon line) as it's very thin. (I had to be sure though, didn't want any gremlins to surface later)
For those that want to convert to a -6 setup I took pics of what I did, enjoy:
37 deg single flare:
reinforcement ferrel:
-6 AN fitting:
tools used:
stock semi-hard fuel line:
cut open:
