Default Project Street Truck

Hey,
I've been lurking here for a couple of years and I think I'm ready to start a built thread. I don't know how well it will be kept up but I will do my best. A little over a month ago I sold my first truck which was a 02 2500hd ecsb, we had been together for 8 years.. I was sad to see it go, but I sold it because I decided to start a build I had been dreaming of since high school, which was a 6.0 swapped 2wd scsb. Now originally the scsb was suppose to be the fun truck, but I ended up picking up a scsb C10 two years ago which has filled the long term "fun truck" project slot. This truck is going to be my daily and I didn't want settle for a single cab daily after having an extended cab for 8 years. So I picked up this guy a month ago and the tinkering has begun. It is a 01 ecsb 2wd ls 1500 with a 5.3/4l60e.
Build plans:
Lq4 swap
4l80e or built 4l60e
HD front
lowered
20" aluminum (non chrome) SS wheels

First things first out with the 5.3

And In with the Lq4. I robbed some parts I acquired over the years off the 2500 before I sold it, headers, intake, ect. Black Bear wrote me a stock 6.0 tune for now while I baby the 4l60e until I figure out what i'm going to do for a trany.

I picked up a white HD hood along with HD grill, bumper cap and new bumper to replace the dented one.

Convinced my neighbor to roll his welder over and a couple hours later I had the finished result. Only dropped the bumper and inch and quarter to close the gap. Eventually I would like to have the bar across the grill and bumper color match to the truck. But until then...

Default update

Well PST got spoiled for Christmas. It got some new/used OEM SS wheels. I really like how they look on the truck. I also finally got around to installing the new front headlights that had been in the garage for about a month. Now it just needs more low which should be coming soon!
