Shitty deal with your builder. I was enjoying the thread till then. I'm having the same thoughts about using a junkyard motor or building a core. Local machinists scare the **** out of me, as they're all "old timers" who won't listen to a kid.


But, I have a buddy pushing 15 lbs. through his stock 4.8L and it'll spin his 40" mud tires on pavement. Those damn things are a hidden gem once you force some air into them.

It's running again. Backed it out of the garage and parked it. Gonna sit for probably a week til I can get some more time to tune it a bit. Just happy to have it running..
