Finally got around to installing my spindles. Checked pinion angle, going to need the shims, not a fun job. Have all of my parts for the top end upgrades. Hope to hit the dyno and retune by May.

Have not done much to the truck, been very busy with work and other things. I have only managed to install my rear helper bags, redo the headliner, install a new dash top, and replace the steering rack. Hoping to get back on it over the winter, we have mild winters here in FL.

Where did you get your dash top? I bought a used one and it didn’t last long. Last time I remember couldn’t find them new. Shitty 17-92 construction taking forever.

I got it out of a wrecked 06 @ LKQ. No one makes brand new ones yet that I am aware of.

Long overdue update... been gathering parts mainly. I picked up a FAST LSxRT truck intake NIB cheap. I had a set of 799s I had laying around treated to a performance rebuild and milled to 63cc by Advanced Induction. + BTR duals and Ti retainers. Still have the stall converter sitting in my spare bedroom. And, going for cam #3 - Summit Stg 2 High lift. 218/227 .600" 112+2. Had it on a more realistic dyno earlier this year with the current setup, it did a dismal 327 RWHP and 369 RWTQ, had to yank out a bunch of timing - despite being tuned on 87 before. It was pinging it's *** off on the dyno. I think it only has around 18-19 degrees of timing in it. It will be tuned on 93 after the converter + top end swap. I feel like I am going to need larger injectors, currently running the 8.1L non marine injectors. Around 30-32lbs/hr - I think? I was looking at 850cc SEPs, but the guy who tunes my stuff is not a fan.

Not 100% sure if it will happen, but hoping to toss some drag radials on it this winter and see how bad it runs as is. Then compare after I swap everything over. I hate to be that guy chasing a number, but I'd like to see 375-380 RW out of this pig.

A small update on the cosmetics... I hit a small woodland creature of some sort back in the spring. It destroyed one of my fog lights and broke my front valance. I upgraded to a Z71 SUV valance and round fog lights, I like it.

Advanced Inductions is still in business??? I could never get a return Email from them. I tried using a few different email adress too, not 1 Reply. Really wanted to try their stuff but no response and no other way to reach them.

Still have not had the time to get to this. I acquired a set of lightly used PRC Stg 2.5 5.3L heads and a 224/232 cam earlier this year. They made 415/393 on a friend's Gen IV 5.3L, going to toss them on my LQ4 and see where it ends up. I have a looser 3600 stall in my stash as well instead of the 2800 I planned on using.

How do the lobes on that cam look? Hopefully no rust like on the end. Do you know what size valves are in the heads and what the combustion chamber volume is?
