Spent some time today cleaning up the engine bay. Removed the harness, I am going to use the harness out of my old truck. It is already set up for the efans and 4L80E.

Pondering if I should pick up an ls6 valley cover. I am installing a Norris catch can this go around. Wondering if the ls6 valley cover would be a good addition.

My factory firewall insulation was a filthy mess, I removed what was left of it when I pulled the engine. I installed some DEI heat barrier today after work. It should do the job and be better than nothing. I wanted to do more, but my knees are shot.

Looks good sir. Did you remove the entire fuse box and just take out the engine part of the harness that runs to it?

It has a pivot point, tilted it up and undid the 7mm headed bolt. Then carefully pushed the harness out and removed it from the bay. I will reinstall the other harness the same way. (Hopefully tomorrow afternoon.)

I changed the headlight harness this morning, my other truck had factory fog lights. I scavenged the switch and headlight harness from my other truck. I also installed the engine harness from my other truck. Then the heavy lifting started... got the engine and transmission in. Man, the heat and humidity is brutal - and the worst has yet to come. I am hoping to get more done tomorrow.

I kicked *** on it today, everything but the exhaust is done underneath. A lot of the top side work is done. I am going to get the V bands welded to my headers tomorrow.

Yeah, I am very happy that my father decided to buy one. He called me to go over and see it the day it was installed. I will be able to do all of my own exhaust work now.
