The Road to 500+ HP - 5.3 to 6.0 Swap
#33
Looking at a 2007 Vmax 6.0 Crew cab truck tomorrow. Seen some rust on my truck and now feel like I'm fighting a never ending battle. Would rather stick all this money in a newer truck but If the price doesnt work this project will go on in my truck now.

Update: This thing was a POS, Tranny going and motor making noise. Time to keep moving with my build.

Looks like the build is coming together good. I want to build one for mine in the near future, hell my girlfriend wants to build a 6.0 for her truck too. Great way for a couple to bond haha. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of power you put down.

What I did was went to home depot and got like a 3 foot x 1 inch flat stock aluminum or galvanized steel, was like $7. Removed the Stock cooler and cut the flat stock to fit the bottom bolt holes, you can reuse the 10mm stock bolts. The top brace you will have to predrill a small hole and I used the bigger fat screws that came with the kit and screwed the top flat stock into the core support thing. Here is My awesome MS paint skillz.
