Noice. What part of South Texas is that? I use to go down there a lot. Sucks about the roadrunner... 1500 grill swap? Why is that? 🤔

I ran over a pig when I drove to Mexico on my 99 Silverado a long time ago. Was in the mountains coming around a sharp curve downhill. I barely had enough time to let go of the gas pedal; 2-way divided rural road and 60' or something drop off to the right. It was a smaller animal, just heard a screech. Luckily no damage.

That is Medina, about an hour north west of San Antonio.
1500 grille raises the bumper up and gets rid of the black spacer that the 2500 HDs use. Looks slightly nicer and also will help me fit 33s easier.

That "step down" on the bumper? I thought they added that due to the deeper radiator that the HDs use? If you go with the 1500 grill, will airflow/cooling be an issue? Sorry if I'm not getting it or I sound dumb.

No it is just because of the body lift that the HD trucks have.
And no airflow/cooling will not be an issue. No worries

Spacer is in the top picture.

Finally got around to debadging. Pulled out the orbital and gave it a little polish where the lines are at. Doesn't look half bad and was going fine.

until this happened....

This truck is screaming bad decision or you're keeping me for a long time lol

😲

Time add body work to your list of skills?...

Or, just put them badges back and act like you never saw anything. 🤫

What did they do repaint it at 150k miles?

I say that as a joke but my grandfather actually did repaint my truck somewhere around there. 140k miles and 15 years ago...
