Changed the oil. Just a touch over 9k and after fixing my PCV issue I don't believe I am burning oil. No metal on the magnetic drain plug.

Used Chevron 400XSP oil and an ACDelco PF2232 filter. New crush washer for the drain plug 114052002

Okay so,
New pads and rotors all the way around, Russell stainless braided lines, fluid flush with DOT 3, new caliper slide pins for the passenger side caliper. I probably will get some new slide pins for the driver side as well but I did not.

Raybestos MGD785CH - Rear ceramic pads
Raybestos 580000 - Front Rotors
Raybestos 56828 - Rear Rotors
Raybestos MGD784CH- Front ceramic pads
Russell 672440 - Stainless braided lines
Duralast H15086 - Front caliper slide pins

These brakes had definitely not been done that long ago. Every pad was basically brand new but the two front rotors were shot. The other one was not as bad as the one I posted pictures off but it wasn't good either. The brake lines are also new it looks like, both the rubber and the hard lines which I think are stainless.

Braking feels better because I no longer have the warped rotor. Other than that it feels the same to me.

yeah, them rotors look like last month's ravioli that's been sitting in the fridge ever since.

shoulda grabbed some Russell speed bleeders while you were at it. makes brake fluid changes SOOOO much easier... and you don't need your wife's help.

Was thinking about a power bleeder but just never bought it. Maybe next job.

Did these just in time to go to the Okie border this weekend. Short trip only about 250-300 miles total. Depending on if I go to the lake or not afterwards.

Sweet. So how did you bleed the brakes?

I need to replace the front brake lines on my suburban. Should do that sooner rather than later....

Had my Dad sit in the driver seat and worked the pedal while I did the bleeders.

Job actually was relatively easy swapping all the lines. The only one that really sucked was the diff to frame line, don't know why but lining that up was a true SOB.

Finally pulled the broken bed cover box off. That needed to go.

Not sure what happened this weekend but something is hurt. Reverse is no longer functioning as it should. Inside the truck it feels like it is hopping and skipping and it sort of sounds like it is grinding. I have a video of outside but I can't tell if the clicking noise I am hearing is from leaf springs compressing as I back out of my driveway or if it is something out of the diff. I'll get the truck jacked up and check everything. I just finished a 300 mile trip with some ranch road driving with no issues until around mile 200, that was when the reverse problem started.

I can post the video but it is pretty hard to hear the sound over my exhaust. Definitely can hear it though. I wish it would show what the inside feels like.

Time to start isolating stuff and figure out what's broke.
