Would be odd. I would think that if I shift it all the way to drive and then back up to reverse (which I have done) that it would take care of that problem.
Order of operations I think for the next few days.
1. Pull all the rear brakes off and double check pads and rotors.
2. Put truck on ground and put it in neutral and push it backwards. I feel like I should see something doing this.
3. Pull parking brake shoes off and then retest in reverse.
That is all I can think of. Past that is opening the diff which won't be for another week and/or checking u-joints.

Let's add a bit of information that perhaps is needed. This weekend I drove in a sandy pecan orchard. Originally was in a 2wd but got stuck, had to 4wd to get out of it. Axle hopped when trying to get out of the spot in 2wd. Just in 4hi most of the weekend crawling around. Drove home Sunday night and realized I was in 4hi about 50 miles down the road or so. Turned back to 2wd and on I went. Could it have been the highway speed miles I did in 4wd? I doubt it. But I should have added that. I apologize.

I doubt that did anything to only affect reverse. I’ve done it before and outside of blowing a bunch of fluid out of the t-case breather I had no issues.
The rear axle hop may have chipped a tooth inside that only shows up in reverse? Long shot here but maybe putting it in reverse with the tires on the ground pitches the pinion angle up enough to exacerbate it? Doing it on stands may not be enough. Maybe a carrier bearing on the driveshaft?

If the t-case is full of oil, front diff is full of oil and you didn't do a **** load of tight turns on pavement- you did absolutely no harm going down the road in 4wd
Even if you did a ton of "full lock" figure 8s on pavement, you still probably did 0 damage to hard parts as the tires are little and slippy, compared to the size and strength of the hard parts that would have been engaged
Sleep well my little friend. You didn't hurt the truck with driving in 4wd

@Bgbldodge No carrier bearing, it's a one piece. But the angle part is something I have thought about to with a u-joint. I'll do some investigation tonight and in the morning. I'm supposed to go to Chuck-E-Cheese for a birthday party
Thanks guys, I wasn't really worried about the 4wd but I did want to put it out there just in case.
