Hopefully with 2 layers of socks and heat wrap on everything close I wont have that problem anymore.

I love those Holley intakes! I think I'm going with one of those when I start building my S-10, even if its just for looks.

At one point when I was burning plug wires I came up with double socks, tape, shields wrap and a million other things and it just made them burn faster. This might just be me but I think a small air gap with some kinda cross flow works better than wrapping them in all sorts of wrap and insulation.

The way I have them now they arent actually touching anything. The socks is more for radiant heat than anything. I had to make 3 custom wires for the back driver side to go up and over the manifold instead of through it, and also used 90 degree boost on the coil end. So far it is working great, whereas last time they would burn through in about 5 minutes.

On the intake, Why would the throttle cable mount that comes with intake not work? Do you not still run the stock throttle cable?
