Haha, the intake does not include a throttle cable bracket. Per the instructions "if using a cable throttle body, a bracket must be fabricated per the application". So basically, you are on your own. As to why I didnt use the factory one, it is a few inches too short to put it at a good angle. I bought an aftermarket lokar throttle cable, but I think I may have been able to just extend (or completely replace) the factory cable. Its just 1/16" steel cable available at home depot or lowes for 3 or 4 dollars. Trouble is it wants to unwind and will stab your fingers. Ive never had my fingertips bleed so much before trying to install a throttle cable.

In the past, I would soak super glue into the spot on the cable that I wanted to cut to keep it from fraying. That usually worked pretty good for me.

Thats a pretty good idea...if I knew then what I know now

Got this idea from Mitch, and it looks like it will cure my wire melting issues since I already made custom wires about 2' long.

I used some spacers between the coils and bracket as well so the plug can easily fit over the top. It looks like it in the picture, but the wire sleeves are not touching the header.

Also finished the cam swap yesterday and am in the process of tuning. Took out the 226/226 600/600 117 for a 239/243 620/620 114+2

Still working on tuning it, and I changed my base fuel pressure at the same time so its hard to distinguish where its adding power (by virtue of looking at the afr error), but the damn thing is fast! Higher rpms with this intake should be insane!

I still have it idling high so the idle is not yet impressive....ill turn it down and lean it out for a nice thumping clip. I think its gotten louder though

Yea that cam is going to rip with that intake. Where do you think you're going to end up shifting it at?
