Well arent yall lucky
Fixed the meth today and wrapped the first half of the downpipe. A foot past the turbo the pipe didnt even change color As big as it is, Walker made it in such a way where its actually not that bad to remove it, which is very impressive IMO.

Well some results....I made a little dump pipe to a spare flange I bought to point the exhaust away from the transfercase. With the cutout not blocked off it is very loud and very deep and rattles every single panel of metal and plastic on the truck
Its also impossible to control boost. With the cutout open I cant give it more than half throttle without going 20+ psi with the wastegate fully open. I think I hit 26psi the first time I put the pedal down for a second, so thats no beuno. I blocked the cutout back and managed to keep it around 18psi with the 6psi spring and boost referenced to the bottom port of the gate. With the cutout blocked it has to flow through the 4" system.
At the same boost level, between the cutout being open and closed, its about a 200hp difference. So I would definitely say it helps
I am going to have to put on a bigger wastegate to try to control the boost at least down to 10psi or so.
