On the subject of the steering wheel, I had one of these but black. Well worth the money. I loved it, and I am seriously thinking of ordering another for my suburban.

Only mine was black rather then polished.


edit: looks like they have discontinued the black version of it. Guess I am going to go flag down that truck and see if I can buy my old steering wheel.

Current state of the engine....I cant find my valve spring tool to be able to check PTV clearance, so progress is stopped at the moment.

Also measured for pushrod length, came up with 7.200 at zero lash, but im not convinced the lifter was all the way bled down. Even so, pretty short rod needed.
