yay for wiring....



its more complicated than it looks...4 gauges (oil temp, fuel pressure, boost, wideband), 3 leds (efans, meth, 2nd fuel pump), and a manual fan high switch. Everything is nice and soldered though, so it should be good...

little remodeling in the engine bay...




Oh and apparently the housing you sent me bumpers is not the right kind I need for the water pump I have... thanks though

apperantly that housing is harder to come across than i expected lol... seen 2 or 3 older style water pumps get replaced but im watching, and ive got the part guys watching for me too lol.

If you dont mind, do me a favor and measure the center to center bolt spacing of those...the newer style appears to be 2mm wider than the older style....that or my water pump is wrong (new gates one).

Made a little bracket for my kurt urban coolant block thing, it looks better after I painted it.

working on it chief....all this little **** takes forever. so many little things that take an hour here or two hours there. blah, ill be glad when im done, or done enough to drive since we all know it will never be completely done.

but I did see three doors down, theory of a deadman, lynard skynard, and zz top this weekend

well I take it back, I just took off the older style housing off the original pump and it lines up fine with the new pump, so it looks like I just have a bad housing (which doesnt make sense). This is the same gates pump for 99-07...

Someone else measure their housing/pump for me...I get 76.5mm for the bolt spacing on the pumps that fit, with my other housing being 78.25mm. I am tempted to drill out that housing to make it fit, but I am really trying to avoid hacking with this truck

On a side note, I tried the thermostat in a pot on the stove trick with my thermometer and discovered my old 180 tstat stopped working (never opened) which explains why my truck was overheating. So if I cant find another newer style housing, ill put my new tstat in my 04 (doesnt have a tstat right now) and take that chance to measure that one as well...
