Try to crank the truck let the key back to run, 10 min the security light should go off, cut the key off and do it to more times. If the theft deterrent is the problem that'll take care of it

That one I don't know about. I just started playing with hptuners a couple months ago. I just know you've got to do a theft deterrent relearn on a stock PCM. Maybe someone else knows more.

Use a C5 coolant res and tuck it up by the fender/firewall brace. They're about $50 on epay. It works pretty well and you just have to tap into the heater hose line. I went through the same thing, and nothing I did with the stock res looked right.

Re-enable the VATS. Might be the fact you disabled it fighting with itself. Tried to tell mine it had no Nuetral safety so I could crank it w/o the trans hooked but it still wouldn't cooperate.

Mine still has vats but I like extra security knowing that everyone can hear it pull up, and the right theif could convince himself that I actually have a real engine under the hood lol

Got it fixed. I had the maf codes set to no error report instead of just no mil light. Something so simple and ive been pulling my hair out for days. Changed that little thing and it started up fine and purred like a kitten.
