Three6GMC: 87 C10 Build
Well don't see too many projects on here with these old square bodies and since I recently acquired one fig ill start a little build thread on it. Progress will be kinda slow since I'm working on my other trucks at the moment not to mention my new shop but work will still be steady.
Specs on the truck as I got it... Has a built 400 SBC, Jakes 4l80, Moser fab 9 rear and twin 67 turbonetics with a FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 system. Decent start but I found a lot to improve on. Nice straight body no issues that I have found yet.

Wanted a more aggressive look for this truck and since it has big wheel wells I decided to fill them up with some nice sticky rubber. Also called up Derek at 1320 wheels and he set me up with nice Weld RTS wheels. 15x4.5 in the front I believe and some 15x11s in the rear. The rear end is narrowed so was able to put a nice big lip on the rears.

Doing something a little different with the EFI system on this truck. I went ahead and ordered up a Holley Dominator EFY system since it will handle motor, trans, and everything I want to do with this truck and then some. Also did something a little different with the motor controls. Im a LS guy never really been into these SBC so I kinda wanted to update the motor a bit. Time will tell if it was a good idea or not. Anyways what I mean is I ordered up the parts from EFI Connection and got the ls 24x conversion parts to run a modern LS computer and coil on plug ignition. I went this route mainly to be different and since this motor will prob only be around the 1000hp range wasn't too worried about loosing spark over a distributor type ignition system. Tuning should be pretty straight forward and easy with this system.

Since the suspension isn't to my liking I went ahead and called up the guys at PorterBuilt for their complete front and rear coil over suspension system. Truck should drive amazing with the new updated parts and look great while doing it. Went with the whole front drop member setup with the Unisteer Mustang rack and pinion. Only got the front in so far but rear should be in any week now. Front rides on RideTech coil overs as does the rear but option the rear out to a 4 link rear. Brandon at PorterBuilt is setting up a nice 4 link setup for me so I can cruise the truck but also hit the strip and hook up...

While I wait for the rear suspension to come in ordered up some interior pieces and a new fuel tank from Boyd. I ordered all new switches, carpet, door panels, dash pieces, visors, you name it I got it. Its a completely new fresh factory interior.
This is my end goal for the interior. Nice and factory looking but up to date. Also ordered up the Dakota Digital gauges and all the sensors and stuff. Also no to mention it made no sense to run all these new electronics on the old beat up wiring harness so ordered up the complete chassis harness from Painless...
