Thanks appreciate man

I actually just stopped and talked to a local guy today about getting the ball rolling on some stuff. Hes been building a lot of LS/X stuff for the last 10 years and the TransAm he just sold awhile back has me convinced he definitely knows what he's doing, a 9 second street car that got 22mpg. Im gonna stop back by another day within the next week and go over everything im looking to do and my goals more in depth. Main thing is Id like to track test after I do the trans, the cam, and then the turbo. Get each thing dialed in on its on first so its not one big pile of stuff to try and tune for.

So I decided to order the AEM 30-4100 UEGO Gauge controller tonight after reading that the Innovate was hit or miss. Hard to not order it when Summit wants $205 shipped and I paid $170 through Amazon!!!

Im also going to try and get my truck dropped off at the shop this week to get the camshaft installed and tuned for. Im finally getting bored with my truck and coming into fall, Id like to be able to improve on my track times over last year.

Finally got the time to drop the truck off and get everything figured out. Cam is the isky 212/.561-112 cam. Bought it as a kit with pushrods and springs but may have to upgrade both of them to handle my "max goal" of 14psi. Heads will get standard MLS gaskets and possibly ARP studs, ARP bolts for sure at minimum. Will also get the new style LS7 lifters put in. Heads are also going to get a good once over and all that. Hoping to get it back sometime next week

Here's a teaser pic that the shop sent me today. They said everything is going really well and just waiting on the IWIS timing chain to come in before they can start final assembly.

Truck would've been started this morning but they found my starter case to be cracked so should have a new starter tomorrow and hopefully be started, tuned, and broken in in the next day or two.

Any update? The only thing you really need to break in is your valve springs. And even then its not much of a break in... just a few heat cycles and letting them cool completely.

You must be anxious. I'm curious to see how this cam sounds and runs NA. Sure as hell performs with a snail...

Newest update is they went to prime the system yesterday and got no oil pressure, tore it down checking everything and threw a new oil pump on to see if that was it and turns out it was. They called today and said it runs and idles pretty good and you can definitely tell it has a cam, but its not wild or anything. But unfortunately with the EFI Live 02 OS upgrade that was done to my truck, he cant change the tune due to HP Tuners not supporting that. So its should be either Thursday or Friday now.
