Default tt 427lsx tbss build

So i have been around here for a while and gone a few different directions with my blazer since i bought it new in 08. My last setup was a 416lsx, 4l80, d1sc, that ran a best of 10.60 @ 130 with about 650-700 to the tire full weight.

We finally decided to go full tilt and try out this turbo bandwagon everyone is riding and sold blower and bought twin 74/75 precision turbos with 427 lsx block, 6 bolt tfs 260 heads, built 4l80, circle d triple disc billet 3000 converter, slighty beefed up stock 14 bolt, holley hi ram, fuel cell running ethanol, and standalone haltech elite.

Wow. Thats gonna be insane. I'm impressed by the way the 416/D1 ran too! How much boost did you get out of it? What heads did you have?

Maybe 13 lbs through stock ls3 heads and truck manifold.

I spent a lot of track time on just getting that 60ft and dialing suspension and tune for a solid launch.

thanks for the compliments, just got word the tfs 260x 6 bolt heads shipped today. Woot! just need the head studs and gaskets and motor will be done and ready to install to start fabricating hot side pipes.

Will need to send everything off to get powder coated before final assembly also.

So.... don't flame me but just couldn't justify the $2k for the tie-bars and jesel mohaks or similar for a hydraulic setup. I went with the oem ls7 and will be upgrading with trunion with ls7 lifters. They have never done me wrong in the past and don't plan on crazy cam profiles, ramp, or lifts. So my thought is to spend that money on a solid fuel setup and fuel cell.

I figure if I end up going with mast black labels or some billet heads I ll take that plunge. Plus I still need to focus on the two big things down the road new rear section, 2 door conversion, and a 8.5 cage.
