LOL yea we do keep telling you. As long as you have brought it up to Zippy and he has responded to your concern with an answer that you are happy with then we will drop it. It's all we can do to try and help. If it were mine I wouldnt lock in 2... no need. I guess thats all that is left to say. I hope you don't run into transmission problems or premature wear. I'm by no means a tuning Guru, its just my opinion.

The bottom line is you are headed in the right direction with good guidance and GREAT parts. We're trying to help and sometimes the answers seem kind of short or pushy. I get that. There is a lot to absorb right now. I have faith you will absolutely smash my best time. You have a much stronger combo. That said there is more left as my truck sits, so be on the lookout for better times. Who knows... I may pull something out of my *** and shake up my current combo over the winter... Who doesn't love a little friendly competition.

I also wouldn't go too crazy with boost until you are running on e85 or have meth in the equation.

If I was in your shoes I would make sure that the fuel when wide open is in the 11's before you go much further. Do what you can to hook your wideband up to the interface so that Zip has some real data to work with. It will be the best/only way to make sure that the tune is really dialed in. Also, factory Denali wheels are pretty light and make for a good drag wheel at 7.5" wide. You can run the M&H 275/50 on them with good results. It will make for a cheaper combo if you can find some used wheels like that. I'd bet the wheels and tires alone would give you .2 at the absolute minimum.

If the 80E TCC apply tables are left stock the converter will lock in 2nd when throttle is over 87% and speed is over 50 mph(60 mph in tow/haul mode).

What peak Injector Duty Cycle % have you been logging in boost? Logging any Knock Retard? Absolutely stay out of boost until you get the fueling straightened out. It only takes a second to blow a piston.

Luckily this truck isn't my DD so I haven't even driven her since the track runs and probably won't anymore until my fuel system is upgraded.

52% is the max injector duty cycle i'm seeing and no knock retard that i'm aware of either.

Oh hell yeah...a little friendly competition is what makes things fun! Too bad we're so far apart or else we could dual it out side by side next Spring! Maybe we could ask Pat to be our flagger since he seems to be the race master around here

I did some research around where I live and there are e85 gas stations. What advantages/disadvantages are there in running that fuel? Don't I need special pumps and can I run regular fuel if I decide to go that route?

What about peak airflow in boost? (g/sec or lb/min) Still running off the MAF sensor?

I'm running 2 bar SD. Looks like my log from the track is showing the Dynamic Airflow @ 67.725 lb/min and Mass Air Flow (SAE) @ 0.228 lb/min

That is the airflow limit of the 411 PCM(512g/sec or 67.725lb/min). It is maxed out. So actual airflow is likely greater than that. Tune will need to be scaled.

A max effort TVS 2300 setup will definitely be more thirsty than a single Walbro 255 pump can supply. Are you going to a return style system?

Yes, return style e85 setup...possibly flex fuel if we can get the sensor to work with the PCM. I just bought an '04 fuel bucket that I'll be sending over to Lonnie's so he can build it and so my truck's not up on some lift for a month waiting for the new system. Hopefully should have everything together in a couple of months. Then the 235's and 3.0 blower pulley will hopefully be ready for spring test n tune. Hell, I'll probably check out the 2.7" knowing me

I think the problem you will run into is that running a SD tune you automatically default to your low octane spark table. You may be able to change to the fatter fueling for e85, but timing will be a challenge. I would not run that much boost on 93 octane... thats asking for trouble. I'm sure you will get it sorted out though. My gut feeling is that running Sd if you tune for e85 you gotta run e85 the whole time.

You seem to have done alright so far! Do you have any target times in mind?

You gotta get us an idle clip of the cam!
