I removed my inlet, took it to the machine shop, and had them open it to 102mm. $60 later, it was done. I then bought 5" tubing and the largest fuggin air filter I could fit in my location. DONE, with no wondering if I had a restriction pre-blower...ever.
Send that BS spacer back and get your inlet enlarged. IF you cannot remove the inlet, shove a towel, a sheet, anything in the inlet wadded up enough to block any metal shavings from passing by and go to work.
Also, why are you messing with these mail order tunes!??? Gotta be someone local that can tune your truck live.

Sweet project man!
And some great help on here from you guys too, I didn't know the 102mm wouldn't open properly without inlet machining.
Have you already done the swap to the 1 7/8" headers?

Whoa. Maybe I'm missing something but Chris is a nice guy. Did you already send it back once for a restall?

I never said Chris was a bad guy. I paid him $1,200.00 for him to custom make a converter for this build and now I have to eat the cost of pulling my whole trans back out because he wasn't even close on the stall (3300 before boost, 3700 now on 4 - 5 psi, add a cam, heads and another 8psi and I'm guessing I'll be somewhere around 4300 on something that was supposed to be 2800 and no more than 3k). If he's not competent enough to get the stall correct the first time on these 10 yr. old trucks that have been built over and over again by countless people, then he doesn't get a second chance with me when his mistake is at my expense.

Chris and I discussed this build in great detail before I even ordered his converter so he knew all of this in advance - I told him no more than 3k MAX on the stall after all the power adders

Is this comment directed to me? I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this.
If you recall on more than one occasion I suggested a totally different converter from a company that we work very close with. You asked me about Circle D and my words were: "Everyone I have seen has had good to say about them and the few parts we get from Chris have always been top notch". I also told you that we do not use his converters and I have never owned one myself.
Chris is a nice guy and on occasion the converter stall speed is missed like any other converter builder. You simply pull it out and send it in for a free Re-stall. I understand that is more difficult for you, as you don't have the correct facility to do this without involving other people.
My dad always said it the best. "That's life in the fast lane".

I do agree, Chris is a nice guy too and he's giving me a full refund. It's just my luck that this happened to me and probably doesn't happen very often with him.
Going to Vegas in 8 days to play in the WSOP...I SO NEED A VACA!

Sorry to hear about the converter... I'm glad Chris is taking care of you.
The new one is gonna feel a good bit tighter. It'll be interesting to see how this all shakes out as you add more and more power.
Also worth noting... You're a professional poker player? That's kind of cool
