i traded my ruger LCP for a set of new hedman ls1 swap fox body midlength headers that my dad had laying around. i doubt they will fit the s10 but i'm sure i can sell them for a good profit and put that money towards my headers. i only had $300 into my 380 lcp so i was totally willing to trade my $300 gun for $600 headers the cam, carb and intake should be rolling in today

and now there's a transmission. the plan was to use a stock 80e on a shift kit. not exactly a direct swap but it was doable. i ended up with a 60e that needs a rebuild but it has all the good hard parts in it. i will be sure to update the price when i figure out exactly how much i will have into it. it wont be anywhere near as cheap as a stock 80e, but a direct swap and should hold just fine behind the 3400lb truck.

I have a TransGo HD2 80e shift kit with a used plate. All the springs and valves are new/never been used. The plate was drilled for full race.

$60 bucks if you're interested, or make an offer.

i ran into something new today. drug the motor out and decided to slip the new cam in and paint the valley and valve covers. timing chain cover comes off an i only have 1 large bolt in the cam gear. WTF? aparently this is something GM only did on the 07 and 08 ls2 engines. never heard of it before. guess i gotta find a new 3 bolt cam gear and tensioners from a 06 vette from what i'm reading.

Interesting. So what about the reluctor ring thing? Do you need to mess with that?

i dont think so. from what i understand, you can run a LS1 cam in a LS2, but you cannot put a LS2 cam into a LS1 based engine. someone may come in and correct me on that though.

anyone else know for sure?
