yeah i'll be there. just got off the phone with Aeromotive. they want me to remove the pre and post filters to eliminate the posibility of filter cavitation. hopefully it fixes my low fuel pressure issues. also hoping i get my carb today or tomorrow.
I always thought it was best to just have a pre-pump filter? But if you had one after the pump have it right before the carb??
cant wait too see that truck there
Its nothing great to look at. And the tune wont be anywhere near where it should be but im taking it for some baseline runs anyways lol.
Did you get those rear leaf sliders in? Curious how they work out & how noisy they are on the street. Not that you could hear anything besides open headers at this point....
spring sliders work like they should. i dont notice anything different than a shackle. the rear suspension is definately more loose with them back there.
talked to aeromotive. they are blaming my pre and post pump filters. hopefully they are right. i'm going to pull the elements from the filter cases tonight to see if my problem goes away. if it's still there i'll check the voltage at the pump to see if it's dropping. then i have a trans brake and 2 step to wire up.
Man you werent kidding when you said the truck wants togo straight. It wl sound really good with some exhaust on it.
fuel pressure looks like it is fixed. I removed the post filter element and it was full o shit. I decided to leave it out and just run the 100 micron filter for now. I cleaned the pre-filter and put it back in. the post filter element I had was a joke. basically just a screen. not sure what the hell the point of the aluminum case was.
just finished wiring the wideband and tach. exhaust hopefully tomorrow during lunch. I have a feeling that the yuppies at work will look at me funny when I come in with open longtubes. I guess tomorrow night i'll wire the 2 step and trans brake. then all I really need to do is put the carpet back inside and bolt the seats down. still haven't seen my carburetor. i'm curious to see what kind of AFR i'm running with this borrowed holley 750. |
38 miles in to work this morning. no problemphump
guess i'll wire up the 2 step and trans brake tonight if i am able to stay awake. got to sleep at 2:30am and the alarm sounded at 6:15. it makes for a long day at work. i messed with the trans a little on the way to work and i think i have the 2/3 thing fixed. i only gave it one shot. here it is. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psdd9345e7.jpg suck it ed :jest: |
