Got mine up and running and actually drove it today... Not very far. Forgot about a couple things still needing to be done.
well, they didn't make it here today.. neither did any of the other **** I bought that should have been here already.
slow *** carriers, USPS, UPS........
fedex is about the only one who gets their **** to you on time so long as there isn't any moisture on the ground......

everything is fixed except for the fender. i got 2 straight fenders from junkyards and both of them fit like ****! OEM GM fenders. the gap between the door and fender were all messed up. i put my fender back on and i'll just have the body shop that paints it straighten the front corner. it wont be a hard job for a good body man.

last night i changed the jets up a little in the carburetor to lean things up, checked the fluids, filled the tires and got on the road headed towards the track with a 7.00 in my head. 5 miles down the road i went for a WOT run to see where the jet change put me. the truck felt fuggin AWESOME then poof. lost power to EVERYTHING.
the ring terminal that goes from the alternator to the distribution block for the cab broke off. when the distribution block loses power EVERYTHING goes dead. it took me about 15 minutes to find the problem on the side of the road.
long story short, i took it as a sign to not go to the track. it would have sucked to break like that in the hood where my local 1/8 track is with no lights to see what i need to fix. maybe next weekend maybe i'll take the time this week to wire up the trans brake.
