i discovered a problem. my truck won't shift to 2nd at WOT. it's probably been doing this since day 1. anyways I drove in, teched, drove straight to the line and ran a 6.80@101. 1.46 60' shifting 1st to third.
the sun went down and the traction went away. a few 1.75 60' times no matter what i tried. guess drag radials dont like the cold becuase i didnt see anyone else hooking on radials. slicks were still sticking.
anyways i spent the entire night chasing traction and trying to get the truck to shift into 2nd gear at WOT. a ton of 7.20 slips with shitty 60' times. it ran a 7.5 shifting first to fourth lol. pissing me off as usual. i'm curious how it will run with 2nd gear LOL.

Man, that sucks about the trans. Even with that though you still went 6s.
I don't understand why every track here insists on racing at night on the weekends. I greatly prefer racing during the daytime. I'm also wondering if the DRs do better in the warmer weather/sun.

I need to get the converter out before SAR, but I need track times with 2nd gear before I send it off without any baseline time to see if it helped or hurt. I hope to have it dipped by then too. I had some bedraild drill holes in the top of my bed that I wanted filled before I dipped.

for anyone that is curious i'll list this here since I couldn't find anything on google.
stock 96 bench seat hit the scale at 63lbs
stock bucket seats hit the scale right at 80lbs
2005 cavalier seats scaled out at 68lbs
I completely expected the bench to weigh the most. and the weight of the s10 buckets surprised me. after looking at the bottom side of the bench, there is a ton of fat that could be trimmed without sacrificing the rigidity or function of the seat. I'm gaining a little weight going to the cavalier seats, but the purpose was to install my nitrous bottle on the trans tunnel between the seats.
