I haven't been able to pull the tranny pan yet. Hopefully tonight ill have time. I have a front driveshaft at a local guy who is in the process of shortening and high speed balancing it.
Pat, do you remember which rear driveshaft part number worked right for you? Would it be the same length for me, or shorter since you have a larger rear axle?

The tranny I bought came with a new t case and both driveshafts. Because the 149 has different dimensions the driveshafts I purchased are slightly different than what I need. In order to make the driveshaft that I bought work it needs to be shortened by an inch. I'm currently running the stock front shaft, but I know it's a tad too short. I won't beat on it until I know the right driveshafts are in.

Alright so I've been chasing down a few gremlins since this tranny install.
The first of which was the converter not locking up. I revisited the wiring and it seems that all is well now.
The second problem is the tranny is slipping at anything more than really light throttle. We installed a transgo HD2 before putting it in the truck, and I can't help but think this has something to do with it. It seems to me that there is very low line pressure. The shifts are very smooth, too smooth really. Something that was done while installing this shift kit messed up my line pressures... I wish I knew more at this point.
Has anyone else run into a similar issue? I'm going to start another thread to see what people think.

Alright so last night I pressure tested the tranny lines with a gauge. Its pegged at 40psi no matter what gear its in. P, R, N, D and 1. I need to hit a mechanic/trans shop thats familiar with the HD2 in case I messed that up somehow...
