The times I want to run will require 850 to the wheels on my calculator... we'll see how it all shakes out.

From what I've seen it'll take a hell of a lot more than a built trans to run 10's.

I think they better have a built bottom end too. Especially in crew cab format.

That's why I got rid of mine. 2-3 yrs ago even running high 11's on a stock bottom end was risky. That and having to have a built trans for 4500 or so just drove me back to ls world. Truck looks great and I really like your plan brother!

I feel like I need to clarify a little. This is not an all out drag truck with the best times possible in mind. If that was the case I would have a big *** turbo on it and push 25PSI for the glory runs. That being said, lets not forget that up until 2015 10.7x was the silverado ss record and my truck is heavier being a crew cab... so its not "slow" either.

I love the way a PD blower makes power. A turbo doesnt compare in a street vehicle IMO. Of course there are situations where the turbo car is way faster on the street, but that's not what I mean when I say it doesn't compare. I have ALL the power available under my right foot at ALL times. You can't beat that sensation. It will literally make you smile from ear to ear, or bust out laughing as a passenger if you aren't expecting it. This build is to make as much power as possible with that style of power. When I run mid to upper 10's I think that's fast enough to open some eyes (cocky... I know. I'm joking, and I really hope I didnt just jinx myself lol).

On a race track will it feel fast? Not after a few passes I'm sure. But I am OK with that. If I can get to 100 MPH in six and a half seconds anytime a passenger says go, and I mean that very instant, that's a win. A huge win. Regardless of how much power you make with a turbo set up I don't know too many trucks on here that could do that when spool time is factored in. Frankly, I would have said none. Maybe chases old 434 with the small(ish) twins that was just taken apart... but that's about it. I doubt Atomic's truck would have done that as it was set up.

Anyway... I just felt that the point of this combo was overlooked as we have turbo trucks that can go faster on this site. This wasn't to try and offend anyone either, so I really hope it isn't taken that way. It shouldn't be. I respect what everyone is putting together and they all have their strengths. Making power isnt cheap or easy... and we're all getting it done one way or another.

there was that big combo years ago they bragged about wasnt sure the member but it cracked a 1000 flywheel and barely made mid 700s to wheels, that was a 434 dutwiller{spelling} Had WCC heads, compression and alot money tossed at it, think was even a jack shaft 2300
