I do lay frame. One of the big reasons for the side pipes is with the frame on the ground the rocker is still 5"-6" off the ground. The pipe will take up this space.

Have you thought about doing a body drop? I don't think I have seen one on a hd yet.

Cool build! Truck looks sick as a shortbed! I was wondering if you were ever gonna shorten that frame. What did you use to cut those wheels with? A sawzall or airsaw?

I've been thinking of shortening the frame on my '85 3/4 ton longbed for awhile now....I don't really mind it much because with it being a 3/4 ton, the truck sits up much higher than a 1/2 ton....but a lowered longbed def needs to be shortened. Looks awesome.

I've always wondered what side pipes would look like on these trucks, although I think it'd look better without the heat shields.

Its crazy how big the frames are on the HD's, fully laid out you're maybe an inch lower than me and I'm static. Great build dude

I actually dig it, I keep wanting to put a 14 bolt in my 1500. I think vette blacked out side pipes from a 427 would look good. hell I would flat black the truck for now to get it one color. speaking of what rear end is n your truck. trying to find something that will either bolt in mine or come reasonably close

i am almost certain your truck you could put a semi or a full floating 14 bolt and it will bolt right in. The Semi floating you can getin a 6 lug.

The same body style should work for sure, I am not sure a differant body style will bolt right in.
