Who likes diesel?
Starting this thread because I'm not seeing too many late model Chevy builds with Cummins diesels, and that is exactly what i'm doing and a SAS while i'm in there.
2001 GMC Sierra which was formerly a 4.8 turbo truck and was plenty quick but just lacked that down low torque that you need to tow with, so ill leave the turbo LS builds to my Nova....
anyway i've collected the majority of the Good parts needed for this swap Which is a VE pumped Cummins 12valve, Getrag360 5speed, Kingpin ford dana 60 and a factory divorced ford np205 transfer case..
Oh and the 14 bolt in the back which has been there since my 10 bolt exploded...
Also a big goal of this project is to keep everything as clean as possible just like it came from the factory this way, ie all of my factory guages working properly with no warning lights.
Ill load some pictures up soon of what i have going so far...

Gonna be a cool build, ive read a few threads of other people that have done this. All i got out of it is you have to chop the **** out of the firewall to stuff the 6bt in there.

Is the ve pumped 12 valves the rotary pumps? Why not a p pump? or even a common rail lol? No matter what its gonna be a pretty cool little project. My buddy owns a diesel performance shop and has been trying to convince me to put a diesel in my truck for a while lol. Good luck
