Just remember to fill the Getrag with an extra quart (5) of 5w-30 for increased cooling and lubrication of the bearings. These boxes tend to run hot And this is a common mod by 1st gen owners with the G360

Yea i've actually been thinking about designing a cooling system for it after it reaches a certain temp but I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble or not.

I think the guy that expressed concern about the cinder block jackstands is real. Yes a cinder block can hold tremendous weight but the weight has to be spread over the whole top of the block say with a piece of plate or a piece of plywood. What could happen if alot of force is put on one small section of the block they can split (such as a round tube or a corner). Maybe unlikely but stranger things happen every day. We just trying to keep everyone safe. You cant post updates on your project from the hospital.

Sub'd. I was wanting a 4bt in my rig till I decided that buying a Dmax is the stupidly easy choice. Looks like you're building everything stout from the start

kind of slacking on this thread but definitely not on the project, basically there is no room for any type of one piece cross member for my divorced 205 above it and I'm not compromising ground clearance by going under it or lowering it...

So the mounts will have to be independent of each other (bolt on) so i picked up some thicker metal 3/8th to be exact, this case will be the most stressed part on the rig being a high mount divorced type that likes to flex behind little gasser engines so I'm not concerned with weight at this point as long as it holds the torque who cares.

Black is the frame rails, blue is the triangular mounts and well the rest is easy

Oh and yes i know this kind of set up will want to have forward and back movement with just these pieces, so to counter that i am building two lateral braces, one on the passenger side welded directly to the mount and the other mounted to the most bottom portion part of the case on the drivers side with and inline bushing, both connected to the frame.... this thing has nowhere to go then
