small update, Took me a good week to get the block stripped down good enough to paint, then i re torqued the heads to allow for a little more boost, replaced tappet cover gasket, made a tab for the KDP issue and went through 2 cans of Cummins beige. Note this doesn't need a rebuild I'm just cleaning and resealing the thing while it's out of the truck, should get me by at least 2 years before i do a full rebuild.

Next is re setting valves, getting the covers back on and new front and rear seals..

Did you manage to free up the factory TDC pin? The one on my 93 had been jammed up with the factory dodge black engine paint.

Most of the Cummins motors that went to dodge were repainted black before installation into the Rams. The black paint was sprayed over everything and tended to jam up the TDC pin, or at least that's what happened on my 93 W350

I like the build alot. Yeah beige it the orignal color but i think it would look cool painted the same red they paint the ISX engines. Good luck on the rest of the build.

Thanks, i put a lot of thought into color i wanted it to look as traditional as possible that way there is no mistake what type of engine this thing has, i think it will really stand out in a black and grey truck...

I'm just taking this week slowly piecing the engine back together cleaning and painting each part, i want an immaculate engine bay.
