Yah i know it's not a truck, but I am into neat things( atleast I think so lol) My buddy has been itchen to buy a bike, but doesn't have the funds currently to by a harley. So the next best thing is to get a jap bike, cut it up, added some harley stuff to it LOL. Bike started life as a Yamaha xj 650 maxim. He snagged it running and driving for a cool 500 bucks. We started from there. He went and picked up some misc pipes and what not and we started cutting. This is what we have so far . I welded a new single back bone in, machined collars on each end to fit in what was left of the back bone after cutting the rest up, cut rear down tubes off, added new ones, also tied the stuff together with a kick *** Y, the hurst shifter just fit perfect there. Yes we are aware that it could be the death of the bean bag, but it is coolness over safety Cleaned the engine up, redid the valves, cleaned it and blacked it out, then brushed the fins. Should make a neat piece, we opted to do the frame in LINE X vs paint, it turned out rugged looking and bad ***. Going to do the tank, fender with a black base, super hard HOC burnt orange metallic, have a neat twist for the exhasut. I fig I would share it with you all.. Just happy I could help him on this. Gona be a bad *** bike for under 1500 bucks total.

Thanks guys.. It seems this is a new trend coming in. All the Japs are buying up harleys and bobbing them, all the Americans are doing it with Jap bikes. I am currently looking for a CB750 but they are a bit more then I want to toss out rite now. Prob chop it up, make it a hard tail, some cam work, call it a day. I like the overall simplicity of this bike were doing now.
