so i have an 03 silverado regular cab with the 5.3...all i have done to it is exhaust, flomaster 40 series. people have been saying my truck is quick and so i was wondering if i would be able to keep up with an all stock m5 mustang gt 4.6? what do you guys think? i know top end he'll get me but from a 30? and what about from a stop?

^^what scott said. if he can drive, he'll win. but if he cant drive (shift correctly) you may have a chance...but theres only one way to find out who'll win!

he will get you up top. other than that if he can drive the mudstang will win. Add a few mods to your truck and you can change that. Long tubes w/ORY, stall, Custom tune (not a hand held). That should really wake up your 5.3 RCSB.

i heard he couldnt really drive that great so im just hoping...i think it might happen this weekend...would i be able to beat him with a cai and wheatley tune or still not enough?

You would probably need a full bolt on truck with a cam and/or stall to be 100% sure...After all even if it is a Muffstank you are still talking a sports car vs. a truck......

the reason i thought i might've been able to beat him is cause ive beaten my friends firebird countless time and he says hes beat a gt before so idk... he has exhaust tune cold air and shift kit on a 3.8, idk, we'll find out hopefully this weekend
