06 Z71 CC/SB vs 06 F150 CC/SB FX4
Well as some may know I just picked up my new 06 1500 CC/SB Z71 5.3 G80 about a week ago and drove it back to FL so I'm at about 1100 miles. Well I'm at autozone picking up a A/C delco filter and some oil for my first oil change and I know the guy working, he says nice new truck and I said i was glad to get out of my old POS Ford, well this guy chimes in, he claims he can smoke my chevy with his 06 F150, i chuckle and ignore him. Well I pay for my goods and start to leave when he asks if I'd like to run him, who am I to say no. So I wait for him to pay and we head out to a nice 2 lane (each direction road) with almost no traffic and we hit it from a stop, I put about a truck on him by 65ish. We went from a 50 to 80 roll and I still had no problem pulling him even when he'd get the jump. He came up next to me and gave me a thumbs up slowed down behind me. I just smiled and didn't jesture. Cant wait for a tune with cold air and exhaust for some hemi and titian kills.

i know it's funny b/c my friend has an 05 f150 same setup as my old '03 but with the "300 hp" motor. Funny enough, I could slowly and I mean slowly pull away from him. He claimed it was b/c the new 04/05 were heavier but, after weighting, i was equal in weight due to my toolbox (tow straps, clevis hooks, tools, etc) and with 3.55 gears to his 3.73 I could still slowly pull away.
