Insurance covers the vehicle when being operated on public roads, on a track is a different story. In order to not pay the claim they would have to prove he was in fact "street racing" not likely to happen. Besides if I went out and got **** canned and had a wreck insurance would still cover it, however most ins policys will not cover damage in relation to a felony ie... evading etc.... In most states street racing is not a felony and hard to prove with out a officer wittnessing it.
It sucks for all involved in the wreck and if they were in fact racing I hope they all learned a lesson.
