my wife is on her second GP. the 00 we had before had the biggest POS tranny. smoked it twice and was getting ready for number 3 when we dumped it off on the dealer for the 04. the engine is tough as hell though.

Yeah, trannies are a crapshoot. i have been lucky on my old Caprice and the GTP, both are known for easily killed trannies, but both were/are doing good with over 100k miles.
