2011 f150
Alright so i was out tonight hanging out and a guy comes up to the hang out spot and starts talking about his truck. He said he had a 2011 ford f150 4 door with the 5.0 in it. He said he put a supercharger on it and said it dyno'ed 700 horsepower. I asked him what mods he had done to the truck and he said nothing, just the supercharger. He asked me if i wanted to race him for 500 dollars, never even asked what i had done. I told him i would think about it...i have a 2003 silverado regular cab 5.3 with lts, ory, and mbrp catback, cold air, blackbear tune and a 100 shot of nitrous. What do you guys think? I think he is full of crap but idk...he was pretty confident about it making 700? Let me know guys, thanks.

This site is so full of ignorance.. at least SEARCH before you randomly post something. If you don't know WTF you are talking about then don't post..
5.0s are rated near mid 600hp on PUMP GAS with one of the FACTORY INSTALLED, 50 STATE LEGAL supercharger UNDER WARRANTY (Mind you its a 2.3 at only 9psi!).. Its the first time in a while that Ford has had a response for Chevy and being the Chevy guy I am its hard to admit it but the 5.0>LS3 all day long from every angle, from peak power to gas millage, power curve to mod response. The new 5.0 is beastly...
With that being said, its a $7K additional option. (well worth it honestly) but there is a chance he is indeed full of sh*t. Sounds like its up to you to call his bluff. There are 3 different FACTORY charger options all of which would be a challenge for you on your setup, even the lowest one. On top of that there are many other non factory chargers that make even more power. Sky is the limit. For anyone familiar with the 2.3, 9psi isn't even in its efficiency range and those numbers are only pump on a FACTORY TUNE... just like the N/A running 11s damn near bone stock with a tune, the difference with aftermarket tunes is a lot. I do understand the difference between the high lowend power of the F150 version and lower compression but as mentioned, its far too easy to pulley up and tune it.
He 'could' be making 700hp with one of this kits and a tune but if its stock block, he's on borrowed time. It's your call.. HE could very well be full of sh*t but if not, you're in trouble. With that kind of power, the only way to know is check his tires... if he is running stock rubber or anything close then he is most likely BSin and even so if he has that kind of power, he'll never hook. Just don't put any money on it..

If it can't do any better than this, you should be fine.

I call BS, either he's BS you with what he's all done to his truck or BS'ing you on him PUTTING DOWN 700hp to the wheels on the mods he's done. I know what C9A1L1L is saying but he's thinking chp and now rwhp.
I think you'd win on the merit that your a RCSB with a slightly modded motor and a 100shot. Don't forget him being a 4door he's gonna be heavy as crap and will have a harder time hooking up from a dig.
