Default 5.0 vs my slow silverado

went out for a little cruise tonight and noticed there was a truck following me for a while. i slowed down to let the truck pass but the guy pulled up on the side wanting to race. turned out it was one of my buddies in a new 5.0 f150. We did 2 runs from a 35 and one from a dig. I pulled about 3 trucks from the 35 rolls and that was it, i was gone on top end. from a dig he stuck with me a little as i played with the pedal for traction. one it was nailed down i started to slowly pull i'm satisfied that my 2000 extended cab that has 235,000 miles and a slight knock pulled thru tonight thought these things were suppose to be fast? i'll post the videos up in a while

ummm...what cab configuration are you and your buddies truck? He's got a boat load more power than you and unless the weights of the trucks are really far off, I'd think this race shoulda been alot closer.

my trucks a extended cab with 20's and low pros, he's a 4 door with i guess the standard size bed and factory wheels/tires. i also just found out today he already had a programmer when we ran. lol i guess thats a bigger disappointment for him. i know he knows how to drive because he's owned quite a few nice rides and goes to the track often. so it shouldn't have been driver error.
