fact is RWD is proven to be dominate in drag racing, AWD has its place and its with rally racing and etc.
if you try to argue this point then your arguing the whole entire part of racing. might as well tell john force or pat musi to covert over to AWD. or tell any hardcore street racer to change their cars to AWD cause pulling wheels on the street in RWD isnt as good as AWD

I like pulling up to a stoplight, and not having to do a 50 foot burnout to warm my tires up.
if you put on your 20's with the "real" street tires. we'll go for a run, and see how a "properly setup" RWD truck launches against a stock setup AWD truck. Get the video cameras ready, lol.

bullshit anyone that says that has no idea. a properly setup RWD will always hand a AWD its ***. Brian is perfect example, pulled the wheel in his pewter car when he raced mark and his supra, Larry's camaro does it every race up at FLD, and list can go on....again AWD is a disadvantage for most part. its only benefit is on launch after that its a disadvantage. RWD from door is best platform to race with
First things first... if you getting traction at the FLDs with RWD... I hate to break it to ya, your truck is slow, I say this because my "Slow" Sierra with my (what you claimed to be junk) converter, a set of 3.73s on ET streets was spinning the ***** off until about halfway.
Second thing, you are racing a truck that is clearly not running properly and even if it is, beating a 1.8-1.9 60 on the street is not braggin much, especially when your running on DRs. Race one of those 11 second EVOs from a dig on the street then tell me the result
Parish wanted 2WD to go for a certain time (AT THE TRACK).
Yes a 13-14 second RWD is gonna beat a 13-14 second AWD on the street... if your satisfied with that fine... but when you start racing 12 and 11 second cars/trucks on the street... then come see me, until then /of thread
The best part about this whole story is... the 4WD diesels werent even there and you wanna shoot your mouth off, that Cummins woulda made you sell your truck cause he destroyed you so bad.
