My friend had bugged me for months about his car with a Corvette motor would outrun my truck. At first I belived him. Then I followed him on a popular road in my town.(Speedway road..takes you by the Wilkesboro Speedway) I was following him home. Then(for all you Nascar fans) He kicked it on the downhill straight near the small bridge. Well I followed suit easily keeping up with him and gaining on him until my 98 mph governor kicked in. I kept up with him on Fishing Creek road(a curvy road near there). Of course he says"I outran you" I then ask him if he would like to go to the 1/8 mile dragstrip on Thursday. He said sure. Well now we are at the strip. He chirped his tires. Then I power braked my right rear tire. Smoke was everywhere. Good heating up time. Then I got a bad start off the light. .75 reaction time!!!Yikes. I still outran him. Running a 10.250@69.7mph. We ran an honest 10 times. He outran me once because I floored it to soon on the start and spun for about 400 feet. I still ran an 11..lol. Well after that night he continuse to tell me that he can outrun my truck on a curvy road. And he tries to tell me his Caprice will go 150! I mean c'mon. You got outrun by my truck. STFU!! If he talks crap about out maneuvering you on a curvy road tell him, "We'll I can outrun you on the straight aways AND I can tow a boat."
