It really is though. Yes it looks good, but they don't run worth a damn. Not really worthy of an SS badge IMO.

How about stock any gm truck is slow? geez this is a performance website, unless it's heads, cam, stall, gears, running low 12's it's slow

not all ss were fast, look at some of the impalas, i like the sss, its luxurious, (SS) looks good (SS) has the larger power plant (SS) just because it has ss on it, people think its a road warrior, and thats not true, they all were not like that, now the 70 454SS LS6 was though.....

I personnally like the Silverado SS. Good looking truck with plenty of potential. Runs pretty good stock, plenty of room, can still haul a load of whatever. I figured being a 6.0 it would have pulled a little harder(even if it was stock) than my tuned 4.8 with an intake and exhaust though. I hope I run into him again one night and I will try to get a run from a dig, he should eat my lunch from there.

Yep, pretty much. GM, Dodge, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, they're all slow when they're stock. That's why you start out with the one you like and add cams, stall, intakes, heads, gears, FI, mega money, and start running low 12's or better. That's when you can start talkin' smack.

they gave everyone a truck with a ton of potential to kill the svt's and the srt10's...

I guess 13s with a broken diff and cheap long tubes and a mail order tune is worthless. With a high tow rating seats five. Double din and 2 10's and don't look like every other truck. But your right ss's are a waste
