does this sound right? srt-4 neon??
ok guys im wondering if this sounds about right, my buddy came over to see how the tune affected my truck jus to get his opinion on it, he drives a 03 f150 with flows and k&n intake , he has yet to beat any of my trucks, well we go out, i do a couple of runs from a 20 roll jus to see what he thinks, then go from a dead to 120,
well on the way back we pass 2 ricers and of course i have to turn around to see if they'll play , well i come up on them and one moves out the way, it was some new hatch looking thing , then the other pulls around him and gets over , its a blue srt-4, has rims and sounds like exhaust and boost guages up the a-pillar and grafics, most of what youd expect on most ricers,
well we're at a 50 roll i look over and hop the truck a bit to see if he's game, i hear him down gear so i look over and grin then stomp it, i pull a full truck up to 100 then he starts pulling, at 110 we're side by side then around 117 he's a car and a half in front of me. it was fun but kinda sad. im not sure if he was playing with me or if this sounds about right????

they are quick for sure always run them from a dig if you can hook because they are slugs out of the hole but from a roll they are mean
this is the last one i raced it was way closer from a 70 roll.

They are fast for off the floor, not to mention if they do a few mods. From a dig, a hook you might do better.. Lets not forget dynamics here, your truck at 117 is like pushing a fridgerator(sp) threw the air....

I never understood if a car is built good and has plenty of power, why still insult them by calling them a ricer?
I had a mazda car that would put a spanking on my truck, it had rims and a loud exhaust, it was no ricer. I think people use the term too easily now.

Cause it is still a ricer regardless.. It can be a nice one thowe.. Like the badass sups, rx7 at the track.. Badass cars but still a ricer. I get waht your saying thowe. Just giving ya a hard time

i had a few buddies in college that had srt4's. i used to give them hell about their little weed eaters but to be honest you gotta have a good amount done to hang with one from a roll....and ALL they want to do is go from rolls. up past about 30mph those little cars FLY. they are fun as hell to drive too. its like driving a badass little gocart. i wouldnt mind having one for a daily.
from a stop they are a complete waste of car IMO. i raced one with more boost, and a 100 shot of nitrous from a stop and wasted him. the race was over as soon as the third horn honked. it just made alot of noise and bounced everywhere.

my term for "ricer", ricer = import with a bigger wing than a airplane, more stickers than a kindergarden classroom, a muffler thats as big as the motor, a motor that makes the same torque that the lugs require.
i'm not bashin on 4 bangers, my daily is a 4 banger nissan hardbody, but to me, performance is all about AMERICAN MUSCLE!!!!!
