The HEMI trucks are simply notorious for having idiots driving them that think they are fast. I had some retard revving next to me yesterday when my girl and I were in the CTS-V.
The main points here are that other than the SRT-10, stock trucks are not fast. Dont be a dipshit and think that they are.
TOOO true green, stock I only did a 15.1 at like 87, with the heads and exhaust I have it down to a measly 14.6 at 91, all street trim, seats, 20 inchers and all. I think fatal knows what I really want, but there is just tooooooooooooo many issues with them currently, either one as a matter of fact...LMAO

What I can't get over is how well the Hemi trucks trap compared to MPH. I always see a mid 14 coupled with a 90-91mph run which is outstanding IMO... I mean here I am trapping 90-91mph but I can only pull off a 15.29 at best. Even in the 4x4 I was running 97mph but only ET'ing 14.29.

I hear ya RumbleBee. Once those gutter suckers get sorted out you guys will be in heaven... Or you'll be paying for lots of nitrous refills. Hahaha

So true. The Dodge boys tend to have the 'Ricer' mentality.

A intake and an exhausts do not make a truck pro-street.

Nah, pro street would be my turboed daytona shelby Z. Ported/polished head, +40 injectors running an extra injector in the TB, walboro 255 pump, mopar cam, ALOT of boost from that garrett, 3 inch straight exhaust, and a few other tricks from forward motion. Runs 11.5 at 117 in the 1/4 mile, all from a 4 banger..............but she is still suffering from a fire due to a recalibrated computer that went hay wire, but is about finished.

The other pro street I have is a C/S Daytona VNT 4 banger, hope to get into the 9-10 sec 1/4 mile category with Boost, NOS and a few other tricks. Its fun to take these CHEAP little 4 bangers to the track and kill Musatngs, Lightnings, ZO6's, T/As, SRT's and alot more. I quit messing with the V-8 cars, its fun to build a 4 cylinder that pushes over 500 crank HP. Shelby is flame red and the VNT is black, I get all over alot of NC with these cars, even into Va, so if you see one its probably me.

The low trap speeds could be due to the barn door-like aerodynmics the rams have, and the fact that they might not make the power up top. I doubt its because they're getting great traction, because at the end of the day its still a truck.

for some reason i guess my truck is an oddball hemi and so was my last hemi. they've always trapped high compared to everyone else on DTW. stock I trapped 14.992 at 90.12 mph and a few 15.2's at 89
with just headers and intake i'm at 14.567@93.63 mph. i'm running very rich right now. hopefully i can get it to lean out when i get the front o2 sensor put in (oops. stripped the bung. DOH)

but uhh. nice death

(some of y'all might remember the white hemi. it ran a 14.69 @ 93.75 mph with intake ehxaust and programmer)

Actually I read in a mag where they did a Cobalt SS vs Neon SRT-4 and the Cobalt beat it. I will look for it and post it up.

Monte Carlo SS with a supercharger should be just like a grand prix gtp and those are a lot faster than a 17 1/4 mile.

Our trucks with engines rated at 285 and 295 flywheel horsepower can hang with the 345 horsepower Hemi in the same truck configuration. That is the funny thing to me. I ran right beside one in my bone stock (down to the paper filter) truck. Both extended cab 2WD. I know he had a very loud exhaust, not sure what else. I guess they must have some major driveline inefficiencies?

Their trucks are supposedly much heavier that ours. I think their RCSB is closer to 5000lbs where ours are about 4500lbs worst case.
